ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Gilze-Rijen 21-03-2012 - Sling into the sun

Post by bvdboomen »

Today again a quick visit at Gilze again. We got lucky! A Chinook did some sling flying.
The pictures are in PNG24 format because JPEG ruins the color gradients. I hope your browser supports it.

Hi Jimmy,

Can you upload one shot in both colorprofiles please? I'd like to see the difference.

Tja, Iwan, niet alle foto's van Gils komen van Jim. ;)
Je hebt een PM met een JPEG variant.
Heren, bedankt voor de complimenten!

EDIT: Whoops English here. Forgotten...
Iwan, not all the pictures taken at Gilze-Rijen are from Jim. ;)
You have a PM for the JPEG variant.
Gentlemen, thanks for the compliments! I appreciate it.

Nice shots! Maybe if you use the function, Save for the web, you can upload them in normal JPEG format. I had the same problem because no browser supported the color profiles, however, by using the function Save for the web, the photos maintained their correct colors!

Thanks for the thinking but I don't mean the colorprofile but the colordepth. 8 bit is just not sufficient enough to get the red gradients correct, even with this websize format.
Guys, many many thanks for the nice words!
