Dear all,
The last two weeks I visited the Mid-West USA, the first stop was at the museum of Hill Afb. (Utah). The outside exhibits are in a poor/bad condition due to the weather conditions/influence, inside it is a different story! The collection is well maintained, but since they have a lot of great stuff: the place is packed! (but very worth well to spend a few hours).
The next stop was at The South Dakota Air and Space Museum (Ellsworth Afb.) near Rapid City. Outside a nice collection, some undergoing restoration at this moment. Inside some small exhibits (not that many aircraft). They offer a base tour and we thought it would be worth to give it a shot, however you don’t get to see any aircraft, you get the opportunity to visit a (decommissioned) missile training facility (quite impressive).
Our last stop was at the Sioux Falls (SD) Air show which had a nice surprise fly by of a B-2 bomber.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures, comments “R” welcome.
