Last week at RAF Mildenhall

Post by rogierottens »

Last week we spent a few enjoyable days at RAF Mildenhall staying at the Bird in the Hand hotel/pub. We were lucky with all the ANG tankers coming thru heading east.

Andel, keep your eyes on Geilenkirchen then. Got my Tinkers there, last year. I thought they get deployed there yearly.

Not totally true as the 137th AW OK ANG uses the aircraft of the 507th AW AFRC aircraft. SO the men and woman deployed belong to the 137th AW OK ANG however their aircraft to the 505th AW AFRC.

Another example is the WA ANG, the use 92nd ARW aircraft.

I think they made a swap with aircraft in Afghanistan, these were all going eastbound. Ramstein and Spangdahlem had some tankers going westboud.
