RTV Rijmond:

Stuntvliegtuig maakt noodlanding
7 februari 2008

Short translation:
Today a small plane made a forced landing in a grassfield in Oud-Beijerland. During flight the plane caught fire. The pilot is unhurt, but the plane is written off.

NOTE:
The plane involved is the PH-KYK. The Bellanca was seen on some airshows in the Netherlands in 2007, like the Open Days of the RNLAF, Texel Airshow, De Kooy and Sanicole (Belgium).

That's correct, demo pilot during airshows was Wandert Brandsen, ex Apache demo pilot. He also owned the aircraft.

Is it known if he was the pilot also today?

And guess what... that was told during Volkel open days and Den Helder air show :wink:

But your correct, found this site http://www.wilco-air.nl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it seems to be the owner of the aircraft. Wandert Brandsen only flew the demo during air shows.

The pilot (and owner) was Willem Lamberts. Here you can see him standing in front of (what's left) of the PH-KYK. http://www.pzc.nl/internationaal/binnen ... anding.ece" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
What a shame of such a colourful little aircraft. Now there's only one Bellanca left in NL.
The KYK was a very frequent visitor to EHMZ. I'll never forget when the pilot in question landed the KYK on runway 27 on a busy day while runway 09 was the active...
Fortunately the KYK was the only victim this week and mr. Lamberts is already back in the air, visiting EHMZ today with the PH-WGL from Seppe.
