A very short stop at the evening of Saterday 6th of May 2023 produced the following:
185 Mystere 4 preserved gate
??? Mirage IIIR (recce nose, preserved shelter)
612 Mirage 2000D stored
500/3-IR Mirage III (special c/s, preserved shelter)
??? Mirage 2000 (overall grey c/s, one tone grey, like RMV-update examples of DGA)
The Mystere 4 is still preserved at the main gate. Other sightings where seen within the northwestern shelter area of EC2/3 Cicogne de Navarre.

It was seen (and read) within the northwestern shelter area of EC2/3 Cicogne de Navarre.Strange enough Scramble DB states it as scrapped.

In addition to it, the 612 had crashed in Afghanistan in May 2011. It was recoverd/blown-up by the USMC. So it might have been a mispole/misread... or just a tailpiece orso.

612 was noted by me in Chateaudun in 2014 (as wreck, but clearly identifiable).

Merci Sjoerd! They have cleared out Chateaudun recently, would nog guess why… but it could have ended up at Ochey after that.

Hello again,

Interesting indeed. I would be very surprised if 612 has returned here from Chateaudun. I’m sure I saw a picture of the D getting scrapped. I also walked around this shelter area 1 year ago and it was not present.

Did you get a photo?

Thanks

I also walked round this shelter area and it wasn’t there. Here’s a picture of it at Chateaudun

I think that tail has been in the Ochey shelter area for some time. When was the last time (if ever) 612 was seen with its tail at Chateaudun?

612 is not present at Ochey, it is only the tail which is in this area and therefore not an aircraft to log :D :D
