Thursday 5 July a flight of 3 RAF Tornado's is expected and a VC-10 for support. Arrival will be 14.30lt......

Seen today where 3 F-16I's for Israel Air Force, support was a KC-10.

On 29 August French mirage's are expected.

On 3 September a flight of 2 RAF Typhoons will transit via Lajes to a unknown destination.

On 9 September a flight of 6 RAF Tornado's will transit via Lajes back to UK from Calcary Canada...

19th sept. The 11 A-10's will depart at 09.00h
19th sept. 4x F-16 delivery for INDIA AF arr at 18.30h
20th sept. 4x F-16 INDIA AF depart at 07.00h
20th sept. 2x Mirage FAF
24th sept. 4x Tornado RAF arr 14.30h
25th sept. 4x Tornado RAF dep at 11.00h

That sounds strange to me, AFAIK India hasn't ordered any F-16's....Maybe you've seen the abbreviation IAF, in that case I guess they will be Israeli's.

Anyway, nice to see the movements from Lajes, hope to go there someday. Keep 'm coming!

The 4 F-16's where indeed israels delivery's. Serials where 201,862,863,865 all sufa models. They will depart today at 07.00h lajes time.

Last night 6 A-10's from Idaho came in. Serials where,
81-0955/ID
78-0624/ID
78-0629/ID
78-0618/ID
78-0611/ID
80-0218/ID

my contactperson spotted yesterday also 17 other A-10's, could be the SP one's ??

Also yesterday,
2x KC-135
4x KC-10
1x C-17

Conclusion last days,
11 MD A-10's
6 ID A-10's
17 unknown A-10's

so 34 A-10's in 3 days !!!

6 A-10's code's PA
plus all the supporters

Doesn't fit with the radiolog. Maybe another one did make it on his own to Lajes. Or is the info attracted from flightplans? Which mentioned a flight of 11.

Indeed, quite a busy place for such a small island :shock:
Then again, it´s ofcourse very well situated for ferry flights between the US and Europe and the middle east.
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.
