Having spent the night at a hotel nearby VCP we did hit the road for Amarais after the morning rush at VCP.

Amarais is a small general aviation field about 30 minutes to the north of VCP. A bunch of singles and twins and some bizjets can be found at this place but the main attraction here is MAGA Aviation which is a company specialized in LearJet maintenance. From the outside you will be able to see half of the LearJets which are around. Before I forget, if you drive towards the airport you'll find a gate with security. Just tell them you're going to the Aeroclub and you'll be fine (the Aeroclub is down the road so this excuse is viable).

As we left Amarais and headed for Jundiai we passed VCP again and made a quick stop for a couple of more E-Jets.

Jundiai is another general aviation field having a single runway with hangars on both sides of it. The airport is located on a hill and therefore you won't be able to see a lot. Best thing to do is just drive around to the southern side of the airport and follow the road. If you do this it will give you some views on the hangars and the planes in front of it. Just park your car and read them off. TAM has got a huge FBO at this place in which they do maintenance solely on Citation aircraft.

Next stop was Sao Paulo Congonhas. This airport is the third busiest airport in the country, only to have Brasilia (which is only slightly more busy) and Sao Paulo Guarulhos heading the list on airports handling more passengers on an annual basis. Besides, Congonhas is the airport in Brasil attracting most bizjets. Everybody has got a sunny image about Rio de Janeiro but in truth, Sao Paulo is the economic heart of the nation and by far the biggest city in the country.
Congonhas (CGH) is a really busy airport handling a lot of domestic flights and is also the airport where most executives go to if they need to be in the Sao Paulo area.
You want to do some spotting at CGH, just book the Ibis Congonhas Airport Hotel. This one is located only a 3-4 minutes walk from the terminal and you have to ask for an even room as high as possible (at least 9th floor but the higher the better) ending on 52 to 62. We were able to arrange room 1254 for 4 nights and the view from the room was fantastic. In Brasil daylight is gone as of 6pm but if you get yourselve a room like this you can continue after sunset. As the airport is located in the middle of the city operations at CGH are only from 0600 till 2230Lt.
