Nu.nl: two killed and two badly wounded. Way too much light aircraft accidents this year..

Volgens bronnen zou het gaan om een fotovlucht waarbij een toestel dat kort geleden in dienst is genomen bij Wings Over Holland werd gefotografeerd. Dit toestel was in de plaats gekomen van de General Avia F.22 B van Wings die in augustus verongelukte.

The D-EDMJ was the replacement of the PH-MRB (which has crashed on 08/16/2012)

Twee vliegtuigen kwamen vanuit zuidelijke richting aanvliegen richting noorden. één type ultra light en een kleiner type toestel ( geen cesna, klein type focker denk ik) met capaciteit voor extra passagiers.

Het ultra light toestel probeerde het normale toestel bij te houden, dat zag ik in de boomgaard. Duidelijk was te horen hoe het ultra light toestel veel toeren moest geven. even later hoorde ik een klap. Ik zag dat de vliegtuigen boven de lisdoddeweg elkaar hadden geraakt.

Het ultra light toestel week af naar links en ging in een cirkel naar beneden. Het blauwe toestel, vermoedelijk een focker, tolde voorwaarts naar beneden en crashte op een boerderij aan de zee asterweg.

Het was duidelijk geen stuntvliegen maar formatie/synchroon vliegen.
Hulpverlening was vrijwel onmiddelijk te plaatsen. Mijn oprechte deelneming gaat uit naar alle betrokken familie en alle hulpverleners. Sterkte
I've read/heard FAR worse eye-witness accounts over the years. Not bad for an "untrained observer"...

Maybe it is time to sharpen the regulations of recreation flying.
This is already the fourth or fifth crash near Lelystad Airport in the last few months.

De twee vliegtuigjes die maandagmiddag zijn gecrasht in Dronten maakten een 'fotovlucht'. Dit meldt het KLPD.

De vliegtuigen zijn afkomstig van het Lelystadse verhuurbedrijf Wings over Holland. De toestellen zijn opgestegen vanaf Lelystad Airport.
Dutch National Police now indeed reports/confirms both Wings over Holland aircraft were engaged in an "Air-to-Air Photo Flight"... :(

WOH has confirmed on their Facebook page that both aircraft belonged to them.

Very, very sad news indeed. How ironic that the replacement F.22 crashed shortly after the PH-MRB.

Thoughts to all involved... :cry:

Good evening,

This is really not good news.
But what is even less, that 2 people were killed
Planes are be replaced.
Lives can not be replaced!

I wish the rest of the family and friends much strength with this loss :cry:

Now confirmed that Bert Huizenga, director of Wings over Holland and a very experienced pilot, is among those injured. The two fatalities are a 36-year old instructor from WoH and a 24-year old female. More info (in Dutch): http://www.krantvanflevoland.nl/nieuws/ ... ensgevaar/

Yesterday when I uploaded the photos I did not see that there was something more to see on one particular picture.
The photos were made with an other intention, not to show you the loss of a life. Therefore, out of respect for the families I removed the photos.

Just for those who want to know why.
