The Israeli air force halted training flights for a day after a Lockheed Martin F-16I pilot suffered a bout of vertigo/hoogtevrees or spatial disorientation on 25 March.

The incident occurred during a sortie from Hazerim air base, while the two-seat combat aircraft was over the Mediterranean.

After the pilot lost control,
the weapons system operator took over and landed the aircraft safely.

Air force commander in chief Maj Gen Amir Eshel decided to cancel all training flights for a day to refresh the service's safety regulations,
and while an investigation was launched into the incident.

Vertigo certainly would not translate to Dutch as 'hoogtevrees', but 'duizeligheid'. The other term used in the quoted text, 'spatial disorientation' describes the problem better I think; it tarnslates as "ruimtelijke desorientatie". (what your eyes are seeing do not correspond with what your vestibular system is feeling).
