Q-31 is 1
Q-58 is 28
It is not 31+28

Q-31 is not linked te former Q-01 I think. Q-01 is still in the Netherlands or only recently delivered to the USA.

As the Apache Guardians have newly produced fuselages, it is hard to say which items from the AH-64DN were saved.
So not a real tie-up according to me.

Video: First Apaches AH-64E at 302 Sqn.

December 14, 2022 | 439 Views

FORT HOOD - The first two Apaches modernized for the Royal Netherlands Air Force
arrived on Tuesday (December 13) at the 302 squadron in Fort Hood, USA.

The first AH-64E version 6, or v6, Apache helicopter with improved performance,
sensors and software was delivered to the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) on October 24, 2022.

The entire Apache fleet is being modernized.
Up to and including 2025, 28 helicopters will be converted from the Delta to the Echo variant.
The first 'Apache Echo' is expected in the Netherlands in November next year.

As part of a Foreign Military Sale through the US Department of Defense,
Boeing was awarded a contract in 2019
to convert 28 RNLAF AH-64 D-model Apaches into the advanced AH-64E v6.

“It is an honor to receive the first revised Apache Echo.
This renewed attack helicopter is a major improvement and gives the Royal Netherlands Air Force
more combat power and situational awareness.
This first delivery is an important step in the modernization of our entire Apache fleet,”
said Vice Admiral Arie Jan de Waard,
director of the Defense Materiel Organization at the handover of the first AH-64E.

The Netherlands has been flying D-model Apaches since 1998.
The delivery of refurbished E-model Apaches is the next step in the long-standing partnership between Boeing and the country.

The AH-64E v6 is the most modern configuration of the Apache attack helicopter.
Since 1984, more than 2,600 Apaches have been delivered to the United States military and 17 international customers.
There are currently more than 1,260 Apaches in operation worldwide, of which more than 665 are E-models.

Vandaag was er een belangrijke mijlpaal op de Kromhoutkazerne bij DMO, Afdeling Luchtvaartsystemen (LVS).

Directeur Militaire Luchtvaart Autoriteit (MLA) overhandigde

2 Feb 2023

The director of the MLA, the Military Aviation Authority, yesterday awarded the Military Type Certificate to the Apache AH64E of the Dutch Air Force DHC. This after intense and intensive work with DMO, the Defense Materiel Organization.

Now that the new type of Apache AH64E has been certified to fly within the Dutch Air Force - DHC (Defense Helicopter Command), the first two just delivered new Apaches AH64E with registration Q-31 and Q-32 can start with the training and conversion of the Apache pilots.

...the ever-reliable Helispot reported this:
Two new NL Apaches AH-64E arrived at Fort Hood

24 Feb 2023

On Tuesday, two new Boeing Apaches AH-64E version 6 arrived at Fort Hood Air Force Base, Texas (US).
Both aircraft, registered Q-33 and Q-34,
came directly from the Boeing factory in Mesa and were flown to Fort Hood by US Army pilots.

The 302 Squadron already has a fleet consisting of four new Apache AH-64E v6 attack helicopters.
The next two Apaches will also be delivered soon in the new version.
A total of 28 Apaches AH-64D will be converted to the version AH-64E v6,
so 24 more to go.

The Dutch Defense intends to equip its 28 Apaches with American laser and radar guided missiles.

This was announced by State Secretary of Defense Christophe van der Maat to the House of Representatives on 7 March 2023.
The rockets can be used in any weather.
More thru
https://helispot.nl/hs/page/detail.asp? ... ub=logboek

https://helispot-nl.translate.goog/hs/p ... r_pto=wapp

Cause

Defense intends to improve the armament of the Apache helicopter with the purchase
of laser and radar guided missiles of the type AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles (JAGM).

This gives Defense a new capability.

In addition, this project also contributes to the
increase the ammunition supply.

With the acquisition of the JAGM missiles, the Netherlands can optimally
make use of the improved operational capability of the renewed Apache helicopter.

Advised decision
You are advised to agree with the attached letter.
Key points

• The new missiles have a double sensor that can be used in both laser and
radar guidance.
The missiles that Defense currently uses, Hellfire missiles, are laser-guided, but not radar-guided.

Also, an increasing number of the supply of Hellfire missiles will reach the end of their technical life in the coming years.
These must be replaced.

• With the project 'Improvement AH-64E armaments-JAGM', the Ministry of Defense is increasing the deployment stock
missiles for the Apache.

• The new missiles to be acquired,
in contrast to the missiles that the Ministry of Defense already owns
use, suitable for use in any type of weather.

Also, the JAGM are laser and
deploy radar-guided missiles more accurately compared to previous generations
rockets.
This reduces the chance of any unwanted collateral damage.

• The US government has determined that this type of weapon for the Apache
attack helicopter can only be acquired through Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
The acquisition strategy is followed in accordance with this trajectory.

• Optimal use is made of economies of scale;
by hitchhiking with one
contract from the US government, financial benefits are achieved,
the need may be
be realized more quickly than an independent production contract via FMS and there is
low integration risk.

• Defense expects the Letter of Agreement (LOA) with the US government for the
purchase of the JAGM radar-guided missiles by the end of 2023.

Explanation
Financial considerations
The total financial size of this project falls within the range of € 100-250 million.
