According to Dresden spotters, a total of 13 choppers made a stop yesterday. Likely not showing on adsb (Apaches) or just the lead of each flight.

It were 8 Apaches and 5 Blackhawks.
Numbers confirmed were:
HH-60M 13-20615
UH-60M 12-20455
AH-64D 03-05395
AH-64D 06-07014
AH-64D 08-05543
The latter two are not in the overview list in this thread.

I heard some of the 3CAB Apaches will stay behind to replace 1CAB aircraft.

Hilco, it looks like the last three from yesterday morning are still in Hungary.

Info based on ADSB only.

Apart from these, CH-47 13-08132, and H-60s 10-20264, 11-0388 and 12-20461 were heading west over Nürnberg too yesterday, unknown if they stopped at Dresden acc to FF.
Previously some former 1CAB helos went back to the States while two of the deployed stayed behind. Maybe this time also?

Interesting! So either more than 24 Apaches of 3rd CAB got deployed, or the list is incorrect. Anyway, I updated the new serials on page2 of the overview.

As for the replacement theory, 1 CAB has left the European theatre last year (and is operating the AH-64E), so I think you mean the upcoming 101st CAB? They however are also operating the E-version?! Time will tell!

These two 'extra' Apaches are (former) USAREUR machines, at least they are listed as such (1-3rd AVN / 12 CAB)

EvD, you are correct, these are indeed former Ansbach machines, but showing 3rd CAB markings now! So could it be that 12th CAB/1-3 Avn is once again in the process of moving their "older" Apaches along with 3rd CAB's return to CONUS and finally obtaing newer E-models? Possibly 101st leaving (some) of them here?

4-3 AVN bird 20362 AE51AE heading from Grafenwoehr back to Illesheim, apparently a 'local' flight?
