An F-18 crashed in Kern County California today, pilot ejected and is reported to be safe.

Pilot was VFA-14 so jet likely also from that unit.

168926 was Modex NG-201 of VFA-14 when seen on the John C Stennis in Laem Chabang, Thailand on 12 February last year-and no doubt when the carrier visited Maresille a couple of months later.
