Air Force certifies 'new' G650ER V-117 KLu

THE HAGUE - The 'new' Gulfstream G650ER, purchased by the Royal Netherlands Air Force,
received a military type certificate (MTC) on Friday (March 24).
As a result, it can be deployed operationally by the Ministry of Defense.
Jet Aviation bought the aircraft last year on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
Subsequently, the company converted the newly used passenger aircraft to the required configuration.
The conversion has now been completed and the aircraft has now been handed over to the Ministry of Defence.
The new acquisition of Defense has yet to be equipped with a self-protection system.
For this purpose, the G650ER will be flown to AMAC Aerospace in Basel, Switzerland, on March 31.
The device is expected to return in the second half of July.
Then the Air Force takes it into use.
Potential buyers/bidders are invited to visit the viewing day.
On the viewing day, the aircraft will be positioned on the platform (static).
In order to be able to visit the viewing day, you must register as a visitor to Eindhoven Air Base.

Timeslots Registered guests will be welcomed every 30 minutes according to your timeslot. There is a time limit of 1 hour to take a look at (and in) the Gulfstream IV.
The old government aircraft, the Gulfstream IV V-11, has finally been sold, a source within the Ministry of Defense told Up in the Sky . Official confirmation by Defense is expected later this week.
The sale price would be more than 2 million euros, but who can call himself the new owner is not known.
BAZEL - Defense has put the 'new' Gulfstream G650ER into use.
After the purchase, the aircraft in Basel was fitted with an Elbit self-protection system and a different configuration.
Now the aircraft is completely ready for the transport of high-ranking soldiers and ministers. The home base is Eindhoven Air Base.
Defense has purchased the aircraft through Jet Aviation in Basel, Switzerland, where it has also been prepared for use.
AMAC Aerospace installed the self-protection system.
It is not a completely new aircraft, but an eight-year-old second-hand aircraft with only around 2,000 flying hours.
That was cheaper than purchasing an entirely new Gulfstream.
The new acquisition replaces the Gulfstream IV.
That aircraft was sold to the Dutch Zeusch Aviation.
An important difference with the PH-GOV is
that the Gulfstream V-117 is flown by military personnel and is also allowed to fly to conflict areas.
