Not really; the FAA is submerged in the United States Department of Transportation (and all FAA-operated airplanes are registrated Nx(x), can't find connections that make it militairy however the USA-titels make it tricky).
The FAA is the American equal of the Irish Aviation Authority or Údaras Eitlíochta na hÉireann as you may perfer :wink:

btw; if all goes well she (N1) should be in Amsterdam where she was expected this night.

Ron

Not really;
Really not. Well, it is a normal US civil registration, just like N191DN or N77001 is. It is operated by a government agency and therefore probably subject of very interesting discussions. Registration wise it is 100% civil though.

N1 is a Gulfstream 4 and has never been designated a C-20. Interesting bird though, but it represents a CIVIL Aviation Authority, so not very military.
