Los Angeles Fire Department LAFD to strengthen emergency response capabilities with the addition of a fifth AW139 helicopter
Current fleet of four AW139s has logged 7,000+ combined FH helping respond to over 700 incidents annually in the last ten years serving a community of 4 million people.
The aircraft is expected to be delivered from Leonardo’s Philadelphia facility in Spring 2019 and will be used to perform a range of missions primarily including fire suppression, emergency medical service (EMS) and search and rescue (SAR).
