QUESTION: Competence Center Air

Post by r.e.hendriks »

Hi all,

Today I noticed for the first time the Belgian SF.260s are part of the Competence Center Air (CC-Air).
According to wikipedia the CC-Air was activated already in 2011, can anyone confirm this??
I noticed both 5sm and 9 sm are part of the CC-Air. Is this since the early beginning of CC-Air?
How can we see which smaldeel the SF.260s belong to? Which smaldeel do the Red Devils belong to?

I know, a lot of questions, but thanks anyway.

Best regards Rob

Part of an answer: aircraft can carry the 5 or 9 Smaldeel badge. 5 Smd has an Egyptian Falcon (the bird, not the plane) on a red disc; 9 Smaldeel has a paper bird-shape on a green shield (the same paper bird 8 smaldeel had in the Mirage-days, but they had it on a blue shield)
