Technically one doesn't fly a flightlevel below Transition Altitude. So a transponder (ADS-B) showing FL015 over Ramstein (where TA is 5000ft) is actually around 700ft above ground level, unless USAF prefers to set the altimeters on their F-16s to QFE rather than QNH (if so, the aircraft is actually 1,500ft AGL (directly over Ramstein AB)).Martijn. wrote:Its transponder information so always FL.
