Departures Hill F-35’s from Spang

Post by stipjes »

Hello,

Rumour says the Hill F-35’s will depart Spang tomorrow. Is there any info on the departures?

Thanks,
Greetz,

On Fighter Control it is mentioned that 3 KC135 have repositioned for the crossing as Blue61/62/63. Two arrived at M’hall today. The third is somewhere at the eastcoast of the USA/Canada.
At the moment there is no airspace reservation for tomorrow yet.

Patrick, Mildenhall had some tankers arriving today as Gold 61/63.
There is an airspace reservation for the oceanic crossing, so everything is there.
As for the departure time, the published ALTRV has a time of 07.45Z for it's first oceanic entry point.
Would estimate a departure from Spang around 08.00/08.30 local for the first batch of 6?
Please be aware this is all based on guessing, no guarantees at all!!
Pieter,

1st one was for the TX F16's at Lakenheath (now cancelled). So it could be the 2nd one. In that case a departure within the next hour (and a half) should happen.

Arrival of the A10's well possible since there is a westbound airspace reservation published for tomorrow, Tue July 30th, same as for the former A10 flights. Possible departure time round 10local.
