Indeed, Spangdahlem is open during the weekends. But only for AMC-traffic, i believe...

One might think this would have something to do with upcoming events ? Perhaps the F-15's.... ?

Yes i know that Spang is open on weekends for AMC traffic, but for that reason there never had been published a notam. That's it what it makes so strange.
My first thought's were also about the eagles. It won't be the first time in history a US detachment arr on weekend.

Maybe we'll get the answer before tomorrow.............

Maybe for a familiarization / test flight of the two VH-60/VH-3's that arrived some days ago. Or more AMC traffic to bring other stuff for the visit of the US president.

Please for ***** sake, don't trust that sbs-=censored=....

F-16s from SP are not comming back today, but tomorrow afternoon.

And the notam for today was for a number of C-130 flights that are doing Spangdahlem - Italy in preparation for deployment from 52nd FW overthere.

Kind regards,
Oscar

Hi

How sure are you that they will arrive tomorrow???
They depart today from Nellis AFB (29-3) and still no oceanic clearence for tomorrow.
On 1 April expect a flight from Lajes direct UK to Germany and will arrive if between 20.00-21.00LT.

Not sure if this are the SP F-16 or the F-15's
