The "Tag der Luftwaffe" (Day of the Air Force) on 11.6. at Hohn will be the last big event at the base, according to the LTG 63 Kommodore. As the Transall will be in service for 50 years in 2018, but the wing is starting to loose manpower from 2017 to 2021, there are no resources to fly the high amount of missions as the last Luftwaffe C-160D wing and celebrate a big 50 years party! LTG 63 has to fly until 31.12.2021, the wing will disbande mid-2022. For the "Tag der Luftwaffe" the following aircrafts are planned: French Noratlas, A.400M, C-130 Hercules, CN.295, Tornado, perhaps Eurofighter, MFG 3 P-3C and some more! Happy Spotting!

A spotter day is planned for 9.6. at Hohn. But most spotters will go either to Leeuwarden or Neuburg on this day! :-)
