At 09:53u LT my SBS-1 logged hex AE599C which is (according to various mode-s sites) CH-47F / 13-08434 from B/5-158th AVN at Ansbach. It could be very well there were more Ansbach based helo's in the Bremerhaven area today...

Yesterday, Sunday 19 February, another trip was made to bremerhaven, this time to see 20 AH-64Ds.

Question on the unit involved in Atlantic Resolve.

I saw a few pages back that 3-10th AVN and 2-10th AVN were given for the Black Hawks and Chinooks.
But the Public Affairs office from US Army Europe is telling us that the 1st Btn, 501st AVN from Ft Bliss (TX) is the unit involved.

Any reactions?

The first helicopter in row 1 (054.6) was very hard to read.
What I read was only 0546 (4 digits). The space between the digit 4 and 6 was to my opinion too small, I even doubt that it could contain a digit at all.
I could not see any digit to the right of digit 6. I think that this side of the Apache only had four digits.

Maybe some people can read or take a photo of the other side.
Looking forward,

Confirmed, Chinooks and H-60s came from Ft. Drum (10th AVN), Apaches from Fort Bliss 1-501st AVN. However no unit markings on those apaches to confirm this.

At around 10.00UTC today (20/02/2017) hex AE47F8 was noted on ADS-B showing callsign "R20043"

The "true" hex for 07-20043 is AE47E8, so it looks like it is using a mis-coded box....and that '059 is not present.

Cheers,

Bob

05416 as first one of the row is confirmed.
473 read as 45473
4.464 read as 45464
.7066 read as 97066
.5477 read as 45477

25288 had a large triangel on the intake
05388 and 97066 had both a large circle on the intake
