Köln-Bonn (CGN/EDDK) 2020 CIV

Luftwaffe A350 10+03 just took off at 9.22 as 'GAF951' for its first post-delivery flight....

edit: ...and arrived back CGN at 13.45 after touch and go's at Leipzig and Hahn (plus actual landing at Hahn) so clearly a training flight.

The 1st German Air Force A350-900 was delivered on 9 Oct 2020 in pouring rain and was standing still for over a week but finally there is some action this week. I was happy to catch it for the 3rd post delivery training flight esp. since the sun finally came out! With the main runway 14L/32R closed during day time for maintenance the shorter 24/06 runway was in use. The test flight continued to Leipzig & Hahn where it made some touch & gos to give the pilots some more hands-on experience.

The open air terrace at Cologne-Bonn has now reopened on all levels (so also the higher one that was closed until recently). One needs to wear a mask (like in the terminal) and up to 60 people will be allowed. Opening hours: 6.30-22.00

Went out to get the Sundair A320 with the expected Braathens ATR72 not showing up. Got a couple of freighters and Luftwaffe A310s while waiting for the main targets.

No! Why splitting the same airport movements into 2 threats??? This is a joint MIL and CIV airport so one will see both MIL and CIV planes at any given day.

But still in my opinion, we need to add CGN/EDDK to the title and then we can make it indeed CIV + MIL

So also maybe good to merge these instead of having several topics about one airport....

There already was a seperate Köln CIV topic and MIL topic however there was a second CIV so all it took was to merge the two CIV-topics into 1.
This has been so for the past years so nothing special.
