Six A-10 should be transferred from Lechfeld to Jagel after the first week of the exercise, so Jagel can have 12 and Lechfeld 6.
So do I understand correctly Jagel will get all 18 A-10's in the first week and none at Lechfeld the first week?

All were lucky who had already taken pictures of special colored LTG 62 A400M 54+21 as it entered a maintenance hangar to ad some more flags (at least Greece and Japan) on the coat of arms on both side of the fuselage as new „Air Defender“ participants. The whole coat of arm will change a little bit and 10-14 days later we should see the results.

Dear aircraft enthusiasts,
dear air force fans,
dear spotters,
with Air Defender the largest deployment exercise of air forces since the existence of NATO is about to take place. About 10,000 soldiers from 25 countries are involved and more than 220 aircraft of different types will be seen in German skies.
We at the Air Force Press and Information Center are well aware of your interest in pictures of these aircraft and we are very pleased about it. We regret to inform you that we will not be able to host official spotterdays at Air Defender. This is simply due to the military security of our foreign guests and our required personnel, which we cannot provide at Air Defender.
You are professional and surely understand this.
But as a small service we have listed here our guest aircraft and their location.

How far rumours goes on it could be again set up a „Parkverbot“ (parking prohibits) like their did due Blue Flag Noervenich when the Isrealis was there … so be prepared maybe for a „long“ walk to the fence …. Also their are fear the so called „last generation with ther climate I glue to the ground protesters“ ….

Have fun ….

Optional Behavior Rules Air Defender 2023

In thoughtfulness of the exercise hosts, the local inhabitants and the local spotter community please pay attention of the following behavior rules I have taken together:

Jagel:

Do not enter the fields in the runway 05 approach! The farmer can and do send you away from his ground. Please only use the edges of the fields near the fence.

Parking in the north western road near to the crash gate should be the best. Then walk near the fence through the approach to the south western corner near the 05 touch down point.

Please do not use large ladders in the first and second rows, because especially the s/w spotting point is very small and many spotters would like to make nice pictures.

Keep clear the crashgate near the runway 23 spotting spot. The gate will presumably used during the exercise as a additional entry to the base. It is possible that the Luftwaffe will erect fences to keep the area clear.

Please park nice to save space for many cars and make it possible for other spotters who also like to visit the base and spot.

Hohn:

Do not park in front of the houses in the road „Garlbek“ (runway 26 spot) and „Loher Weg“ (runway 08 spot) and do not block their garages and houses. Keep the roads and dirt roads clear!

Please do not use large ladders in the first and second row, so that all spotters have chances to get nice pictures.

Please drive carefully on the direct route between the Jagel and Hohn spots, because it is a agricultural area and you drive through some villages. Several tractors, trucks and slow cars are possible at all times.

Please keep bottles and all trash with you.

Thank you very much for your help!

I wish you a nice trip and many good shots!

Runway 02/20 at Wunstorf has now been closed until 30.6. and the first four LTG 62 A400M are parked there to save ramp space for several C-17 movements and the 10 or even more ANG C-130 which will be based here for nearly four weeks.

On 30.5. the first support flights will arrive. Also on the weekends 3./4.6. and 24./25.6. and on 17.6. more than a dozen flights are planned on each day.
