Three Italian helicopters arrived at RAF Leeming on the 29/09/2022...
CH-47 mm81781/EI704
NH-90 mm81565/EI248
NH-90 mm81629/3-57
The helicopter out of the C-130 hasn't yet been identified as an A-129, some speculation suggests maybe the AW249 prototype, why would the Italians transport an "old" A-129 to Leeming yet fly the others in? The helicopter was taken out of the C-130 and towed straaight into the old 100 Sqn hanger. The other three have remained on the main ASP overnight last night...time will tell re the hangered helicopter
