EGUW Tuesday 22nd February visitors,

ZH897 Chinook HC.5A (18 Sqn) PEGGS1 arr from EGVO dep 23rd as RFR7180
ZH900 Chinook HC.5A (18 Sqn) PEGGS2 arr from EGVO dep 23rd as RFR7179

The serials from ADS-B, as are the Apache serials listed below,

ZJ197 AAC443
ZJ208 AAC444
ZJ213 AAC445

These may be formation lead aircraft only, with others not 'pinging'.

These choppers have all departed in the morning of the 23rd prior to 09:00Z, and are en route to 'the east'.

It will be interesting to see if the Apache serials are correct to ADS-B, should they fuel stop somewhere where spotters are present.

ZH897 and ZH900 are HC5s. There is no such thing as an HC5A.

Thanks, Tom.

IIRC, someone somewhere had reported there was.

I'll have to change any entries I may have made on there.

EGUW Tuesday 17th May,

ADS-B is showing BD NH90 NFH RN-01 at very low altitude just south of here at 17:20Z.

A likely contender for a visit here.

EGUW Wednesday 16th November,

Noted outside 70 Aircraft Workshops were,

ZM719 AH-64E Towed to the main ramp, so is (in theory) now with either 3 or 4 Regiment.

3 Regiment only fly AH-64E, 4 Regiment are on the point of taking delivery of their first AH-64E.

Also outside was ZM721, which had flown as AAC606.

With 3 Regiment (from ADS-B) the following pair of AH-64E were noted,

ZM707
ZM709

Noted with 4 Regiment (again from ADS-B) were the following Apache AH.1s

ZJ192 AAC440
ZJ220 MACHETTE1
ZJ221 MACHETTE2

The weather? fine when we arrived around 13:30, but the sunshine was soon replaced by clouds proir to the onset of heavy rain after dusk. Runway 23 was in use.
