Had about two hours to spare at Gatwick, so took a couple of pictures. Not really any special ones, but better than sitting around doing nothing.

A few years ago Phuket Air flown into Gatwick, and 2 747s where stored there. Are they still there??? Hopefully yes, then I could see them on the 24th of July!!

Unfortunately the 'Phuket Air' service to London Gatwick finished in in the Spring of 2005.

The aircraft impounded for so long was 'HS-VAN', a Boeing 747-312 (23245/626) and finally departed on Wednesday, 8th February 2006. The frame is now in store at Jakarta - International / Soekarno-Hatta.

For information in regard to regular movements, the London Gatwick Google forum (http://groups.google.co.uk/group/Gatwick" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) provides a lot of information including Mode-S reports, which may help you in regard to regular services for example.

Does anyone know some good spotting places at Gatwick. I planning a trip tot Gatwick with Easyjet from AMS for just one day en I want to see as much as I can. I prefer a place at the aiport, like a spotting terrace. Or are there some good places around the terminal?
