What a nice afterburner (waakvlammetje in dutch) for the Italian starfighters :wink:

And again the conclusion is....my birth was too late....as always :lol:

The pilotlight (waakvlammetje) you are refering to, could be seen from the back of the Starfighter, as it was always lit when it was taxiing. So the afterburner is no "Waakvlammetje"!

This Starfighter can again be found in The Netherlands these days. :D Its fuselage can be found in Kessel, Limburg. It was acquired and brought here by that well-known Piet Smets-guy.

It is also the Starfighter that was flown to Eindhoven by a German pilot who was invited by SGVolkel to give a lecture on his experiences as a Starfighter pilot at a spottersavond in Uden in the late 80s. :D

somewhere around 1990 we had a small airshow (for veterans?) with the F-16, F-27 and Double Dutch perfoming. Unfortunately the weather was very bad........

The Open Dag at Deelen 1988 brought some special visitors to Soesterberg like a VFW614, Belgian Falcon 20 and a French MS760
