Me and my buddy always went to the first house at hill side of the runway, we asked the first couple times if we could go to the end of their garden (which they had no problems with), after a while the owner of the house even brought us tea or coffee every now and then )

Ooops, I remember that very well, although I didn't see much of the actual fact standing among the spectators on the other side. Was your uncle on the spotter's site? Did your uncle leave in a hurry like some other people did?

Hi Hans, yes we were standing with some family members at the spotters place at that time. Though a bit schocked most of the people left because the display stopped and it started to rain a bit as I recall. I still remember the pilot running away from the airplane and throwing his helmet to the ground in anger.......
