I've seen some very nice photos so far, but most are just photos with the sun on the wrong side. I wouldn't even keep them myself and delete them...

Indeed, look for the extra dimension in the shot or press delete.
Everybody has an different taste in photography. What you find a bad photo is an other mens art. Do we really want to pollute topics like this with comments like this?

I personally deleted your second photo Nusty, fading light doesn't give that much extra to an unfoccussed photo.

This forum is for sharing your aviation related photo's with the rest of the community, not a chance to 'dump your memory card'.
Backlit shots is a great topic-title with great opportunities. Do we really want to pollute topics like this with ordinary / bad shots.

So posting 1 or 2 photos is dumping your memory card? What's the limit of saying you aren't dumping your memory card? If the admins of scramble doesn't like the photos in here, they still can delete them.

We can have this discussion for years, but everyone shoots different and has an different opinion about this. What you find good enough is for someone else a total failure, and vice versa. If you don't like well that's your problem.

Still, not good enough in my eyes. An example of how different tast can be.

Hi Michel,

Completely agree with you.
I am not saying that my pics are always super, but certain people on this forum are to arrogant for their own good.
And if someone else is not making the same pics as them they have to say something nasty about it.

Think different  Open your mind and soul for ' the other shot / extra dimension' .
It's there and you don't need a expensive lens or body to show it, sure it helps to make it look better but it isn't a necessity. I don't judge other shots to mine or any standards, I judge photos on creativity, input and effort.

Think different
I think that's why they started this topic, to show photos you normally don't show because they don't fit in other sections. And everyone thinks different about thinking different.
Open your mind and soul for ' the other shot / extra dimension'
Perhaps people try that already put get burned down by comments, about dumping you memory card on the forum. And again, everyone thinks different about photos, a photographer that makes the photo has opened his mind with that photo and thought it has an extra dimension. But then he gets, again, burned down with comments about people who think otherwise.

Yes it's ok to post comments about photos, i think everyone wants some comments about his photos, but what good does it make if you say that people should stop dumping there memory card with shots like that. Doesn't really encourage people to continue posting I think. And what is the fun in that?

That Black hawk photo is just great, not only because of the angle and the funny configuration of the plane, just the light alone is perfect.

Wow! And it certainly does. Now that's what you can call backlit..

I love it how the sun is just ''blasted away'' by that burner.
Beautifull! :thumb:

Kind Regards,
Jeffrey.

Hi guys,

Feel free to burn this photo down in any way you like. If this topic did not exist this picture would have never made it to the internet as far as i am concerned. I was trying my new camera at ehlw and the sun was behind clouds............... until the vipers returned to base.
Please don't tell me i messed up.
