Koblenz museum 17-01-09

Post by Hilco »

Seen saturday morning in this museum was following:

ALPHA JET 98+55 PRESERVED, WTD61 markings
F-104G CCV 98+36 PRESERVED, WTD61 markings
G-91R/3 32+06 PRESERVED, WTD61 markings
MI-24P 98+33 PRESERVED, WTD61 markings
MIG-21BIS (24+20)/2 PRESERVED, only marked '2' on left side
MIG-23BN (20+48)/7 PRESERVED, only marked '7' on left side
MIRAGE 3C 10/10-RD PRESERVED, no markings
N2501F 199/MF-070 PRESERVED, no markings
SE3130 75+52 PRESERVED, HFWS markings
VAK191B D-9564 PRESERVED

This really nice collection with very rare aircraft, like the F-104G CCV, is really packed together. Despite the enormous hall, these aircraft are unfortunately more or less put together in a small part of the hall. The entrance fee is only € 1,50 though... and they open up at 09.30 (don't know the full schedule).

Regards,

Jasper & Hilco,

did you took some pictures in the museum, and if so can we see them some where?
I am very curious about the possibilities of taking pictures.

Allright! Looks good...

Do you have an address or a GPS-coordinate of this location perhaps? Thanks.

Been there last year. Photo options very limited. Will see if I can post some.

Thanks for the log!!
One question: I have Bo.105 80+38 as preserved here since december 2007. No sign of that one?

Hey patrick,

No sign of this Bo-105.... When we asked more info, they said the total collection was inside. Don't know how reliable this answer was though.... :dontkno:

I visited this collection in Dec 2007 and didn't notice it either...no BO-105

For photos of the complete collection go to the Aviation Photo Forum.

Strange! Scramble database also gives it as present here (at least from 2005 till 2007 or so).
But thanks for the information!

I was there only 9 days later. Where exactly did you see it?

Sorry Beagle. I missed your question. The Bo.105 was at the rear of the museum. I only noticed it as we walked away.
Approx. viewing position was 50° 22.131'N 7° 35.234'E. I can send you a copy of photos by p-mail if it helps.
