Tel Nof AFB (LLEK) 2021

Post by Starman »

A quick pre-lockdown visit revealed the following based Eagles after early morning fog:
106 sqn: F-15C 505/83-0054, 525, 53083-0057, 560/83-0065, 575, 583/incorrectly marked as 83-0067 & 840 plus F-15B "122" & F-15D 701 (which has recently completed a major overhaul)
133 sqn: F-15A 658/76-1506, 663/76-1508, 669/76-1510, 673, 681, 686 & 698/incorrectly marked as 76-1526 plus F-15B 113/73-0113* & 408 and F-15D 280/83-0064, 450 & 455/correctly marked as 80-0132
Visiting was 69 sqn F-15I 244 which did not have the "R2D2" avionics/SATNAV hump so may have been on delivery to the MU and flying with the FTC was F-16I 872 from 201 sqn
The test F-35A has returned to Nevatim - it was only visiting the parent unit when noted last year.
* 113 should be the next F-15B to be replaced by a former Oregon ANG F-15D but the project appears to have slowed.

Unusual visitor here this morning (but not to these shores) was C-130H 94-7315 (from the 731st AS as per the Scramble database). It used the call sign "Chrome24' signifying it arrived from further South-East.
