Tel Aviv Ben Gurion (LLBG/TLV) - 2008

Post by MikeRomeo »

On May I went for a week of vacations to Tel Aviv. Doing planespotting there is easier then what many people think if runway 30 is in use for landings. I only went for spotting during 3 afternoons, because not all the times runway 30 was in use. The spotting location is on Airport City, about 1.7KM from the runway. Good place for photography and no problems at all with security, because you're far away from the fence. It's a good airport with interesting visitors, here's the log (just the airlines):

Quick look before departure showed an almost empty Military Apron, as could have been expected.

Three C-130s were seen as well as 2 Nachshon Shavit and 2 Nachshon Aitam.

For those of you who, I know, like to keep tabs on their movements,
C-130 72-299 RS just arrived at LLBG on a "local" flight calling "Chrome".
It joins FABrazil VC99B-2581 on the ramp.
