NAS Norfolk 25/04/16 PM

Noted during a few hours at NAS Norfolk on this date were the following:

C-2A 162155 (53) VRC-40 parked on ramp
C-2A 162157 (636) VAW-120 departed
C-37B 166376 VR-1 parked on ramp
C-130J-30 14-5788 19th AW parked on AMC terminal
E-2C 164107 (645) VAW-120 parked on ramp
E-2C 164109 (651) VAW-120 departed
E-2C 164111 (621) VAW-120 departed
E-2C 164493 (646) VAW-120 departed
E-2C 165298 (602) VAW-124 departed
E-2C 16---- (AJ 603) VAW-124 parked on ramp (too much haze to read of Bu No)
E-2D 168275 (671) VAW-120 parked on ramp
E-2D 168276 (670) VAW-120 departed
E-2D 168594 (AB 602) VAW-125 parked on ramp
E-2D 168990 (AB 604) VAW-125 pattern flying
MH-53E 164864 (BJ 547) HM-14 parked on ramp
MH-60S 166312 (BR 44) HSC-28 parked on ramp
MH-60S 168752 (HU 735) HSC-2 departed
P-3C ---006 completely unmarked - possible VPU-2 machine, parked on AMC ramp

Not a bad few hours.

AJ-603 was 165299 but i show it being reassigned as AJ-600
164107 was ex AC-602 then AC-603(photographed last summer as such)

on 23-04 we noted AJ-603 as 164495.

Rogier,

I have just looked st a non hazed image from a brief visit to Norfolk on the morning of Sunday the 1st of May. I can confirm very clearly from an image taken that AJ 603 is in fact 164496 and not 164495. It also has its wings removed for whatever reason.

They must be really shuffling those E-2s.... 164496 was AC-601 with the Seahawks VAW-126 last summer.... :?:

and the very reason why reports should include if serials were actually read or taken from a database ;-)
