Post by CJ »

Local F-16Cs seen flying (10 am -12:30 pm) on November 16 were:
87-0233FM
87-0298 in Have Glass c/s
88-0405FM '93 FS' markings
88-0410FM

All 3 FM-ones have AFRC and Makos markings as well.

Visiting were C-146A 16-3020 and Dyess C-130J-30 06-3171

Making a T&G was USCG HC-146B (or A?) 2307, operating out of Miami.

Two H/M-C-130s eluded identification in the 85 degree heat, alas..

Hi CJ and others,

What are the spotting/photo opportunities like at Homestead? Unfortunately there is no Airfield Guide available so any info is welcome.
Many thanks in advance.

Stand here (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vWZZPjnnLLyBmfhz7?g_st=ic) and you’ll have a view of the sunshelters and the runway. Photos are easy. Walk back and to the right for the easterly arrivals.

Great landing shots with about 200 mm at the spot mentioned above.

I also took some TO pictures pretty close to John To Go on S Allapattah Rd, but lots of mm required. On the plus side, various F-16s were banking to the right :-)

Good luck.
