Gunship of the Cold War: Mil Mi-24 Hind Russian Beast of Czech Air Force at Mollis Zigermeet 2019. Mil Mi-24 Hind is a large gunship helicopter, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. Mil Mi-24 Hind is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and has been operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force and its successors, along with 48 other nations. NATO denotes the export versions of Mil Mi-24 Hind, Mi-25 and Mi-35, with a letter suffix as "Hind D" and "Hind E". Soviet pilots called the Mil Mi-24 Hind the "flying tank".
