Re: LFQI Cambrai 10-02-2012

Thanks for that info Frank. It seems to me that the housing for the chute is/was at the base of the vertical stabilizer - where the ECM/Chaff stuff is now. When did it move to the belly? Or was it always on the belly?
Thanks

Re: USAF cancels Global Hawks in favour of extended U-2 service.

What about another theory? What if the big Hawk doesn’t work nearly as well as advertised? There have been a few reports/comments critical about the mission package maturity and reliability. You can sit at 60k feet all day but if the recce package doesn’t work what is it worth? Then again this may b...

Strato
Thank you Sir - that certainly explains quite a bit - as does the line "We look forward to a long term partnership with both Sikorsky and the Swedish Armed Forces"So i guess we'll be seeing Swedish '60's for quite a while

Re: Pics: 1st Swedish UH60M Blackhawk Hkp 16's handed over 17jan

Stefan,
Thank you for the reply - however it still does not answer my question.
Are the UH60M's a short term solution to the A-stan CSAR problem or will they be returned and used in Sweden?
Sorry if i am being repetative - i'm just trying to figure out this purchase.

Re: Pics: 1st Swedish UH60M Blackhawk Hkp 16's handed over 17jan

So are these Blackhawks "purchased" to be used long term? Or are they stricktly for Afghan ops and the Swedes will get rid of them once they finish in A-Stan?
