Sorry to hear you missed out. The only thing you can depend on about Russia is that you can't depend on anything. You might try to get a hold of "Alex Snow" on Facebook. He is a Russian Spotter that is pretty knowledgeable about Russian Military Aviation. He would know better than the internet when ...
Yes it is well worth going to the rehearsal. I have been there for three Victory Day Parades. The last fly past I was at was cancelled due to low ceiling. If I was not there on the rehearsal day I wouldn't have gotten any pictures. The best place to see the flypast, military vehicles and troops is j...

I love your sharp clear focus. Seeing every panel line and rivet on a plane doing 250 knots is amazing. What equipment do you use ? Any special Lightroom tricks for bringing out the details ?
I did a little research and the RF-4C is a battle damage repair plane formally from Zweibruken ZR 68-554. The paint job is not accurate that it is in now. There is also a Battle Damage Repair F-15 stored in one of the shelters near the Ammo Dump but I don't know the SN or Tail Number.
The RF-4 is one that has been in the South West Ramp area for years in a shelter. It was towed to Ramp 2-1 for a while then towed into a hangar to be washed. It has been towed back to Ramp 2-1 after the wash. It is rumored that it is being prepared to be placed as a gate guard or put on display some...
It always amazes me how much you guys know about what is going on with the aircraft in the USAF. I can confirm 300 is going to be transferred to US Army Corps of Engineers and 375 is being sold to MIT ( Massachusetts Institute of Tech) to be used as a test bed for research experiments. There will no...

Is there any transportation from the train station to the airfield ? Any schedule for the flying program? I want to see the Su24 and Su27 fly. My flight wont be into Prague until 11:00 am so I am leaning on staying in Prague and seeing the Airplane museum on Sat and the airshow on Sun. If the Ukrain...

The construction on the area on the north eastern side of Ramstein across from the East Gate is for the new hospital to replace the Landstuhle Regional Medical Center Hospital. No major construction is going on the Air Base at this time. There isn't a lot of room left on the flight line for 15 KC-13...

I fly from Germany usually on Ryanair to several airshows a year. Ryanair is the only airline that weighs carry on bags on a regular basis. This year Ryanair has seemed to relax their enforcement of the 10 Kg limit. Most of the airlines now allow your main carry on bag with the 10kg limit and a smal...
Getting in on trade days is not a problem but viewing the runway is difficult. Last show I went there on a trade day. When the flying started I went to find a way to the flight line only to be stopped at the gate. I was told by Security Guards only Press were given access to the flight line side of ...
