Re: 2022 : RNLAF Open Days / Open Dagen Luchtmacht ?

... They should consider giving 200.000+ enthousiast taxpayers and “neighbors” something in return as a another viable reason for organizing the airshow. AFAIK that was one of the reasons for organising the Open Days in the past. I think it is even mentioned quite literally in the book "Vlucht door...

Re: INTERNATIONAL SANICOLE AIRSHOW 2022

Most, if not all, Sanicole participants fly out of Kleine Brogel. So you will see roughly the same aircraft at Sanicole and Kleine Brogel, except for spare aircraft (which stay at KB) and some helicopters which fly directly out of Leopoldsburg (the Sanicole Airshow location). Given the event timings...

Re: Frisian Flag in 2020

Although the F-15s and Rafales aren't operating out of Leeuwarden doesn't mean they could not occasionally drop by.
In case of emergency, Leeuwarden is much closer to the exercise area than Lakenheath, and much easier to land on than an aircraft carrier.

Re: verstelbare vleugel F14 TOMCAT

- Omhoog is Auto Mode
- Omlaag is Bomb Mode (55 graden)

ARMY-2019, Kubinka Airbase

Last week I visited the ARMY 2910 show with 4Aviation. Here are some pics from the Sunday airshow and Monday departures. Although it doesn't show in the pictures below, the weather wasn't all that good, with rain or rain showers every day, though Sunday and Monday had some sunny moments as well. #1 ...

Cougar at Larserveld glider airfield, Biddinghuizen

Yesterday, Cougar S-456 came in three times to drop off troops for their Airmobile exam. The troops have to make it to Schaarsbergen on foot, carrying a 40 kilogram backpack. The backpacks were carried in a sling net underneath the Cougar. After each drop, it came back for a low-level pass. #1 https...

Re: Anyone been to Keiv Recently?

I was there last year to visit Chernobyl, and also visited the State Aviation Museum in Kiev. There are two gates where you have a clear view of the runway and north-eastern taxiway of Zhuliany Airport.
Taking pictures was no problem when I was there.

That only adds to the confusion.
The English version of that site says august, while the Russian version gives July...
