Re: Russian Federation RF- serial system

Is there somewhere an explanation of the "new" RF- serial system the Russian Federation use. I can't find any logic in it :-( It appears that in the beginning, around 2012 it was, every base was given its own block of RF serials. I only know of one example, either the Su-25s from Buddenovsk or Butu...

Re: June2020: no more "active duty US Navy Orions", all P-8s

You don't always know when you will see a specific airframe type flying for the last time. I feel fortunate I caught USN P-3s last October at Pt Mugu (VX-30) and during the Fleet Week air show in SF. Do the Canadians still have their CP-140s? It says “active duty US Navy Orions”. I think VP-62 and ...

REQ: Ramstein airshow 1984

Hi all, On 24-6-1984 I visited Ramstein Airshow where I saw two unidentified USAF H-53’s. I think one was parked somewhere on the opposite side of the runway, the other one was flying. According to my log a CH-53C from Sembach and an HH-53C from Woodbridge. BAR has 70-1625 for the CH-53C Scramble ha...
