This aircraft is not owned by Pol AF (as you have noticed it has no insignia) but only leased from LOT to fill the gap. The deal was made (not officialy) even before the Tu-154 crash and the whole case of E175 has not much to do with thecrash - E175 was intended to replace Jak-40 (not Tu-154).

And yes, "we" are fully aware the designation IL is not official, but Il is. But for various reasons "we" prefer using the IL-designation anyway in all publications we produce; the magazine as well as the website. As you can se I have put some effort to put in wiki information’s about Polish Air Forces, squadrons, bases etc. etc.

I would appreciate any kind of pictures with polish aircrafts for the Wiki
