Re: 2023: Belgian Air Force SF260 Marchetti's to be retired...

in my opinion, leasing for this need doesnt make any sense, basic training aircraft are not that expensive to buy and operate. an ideal candidate would be the Belgian made Sonaca 200. with a basic unit cost of €175.000 + another 25.000/aircraft for additional equipment, military radio's and spares. ...

Re: Swiss fighter jet competition

for the Swiss, i think the Rafale or Typhoon would be the best option. the F-35A with its stealth capability seems overkill for a neutral nation, especially when its for air defence only. you dont need stealth for that. the Super Hornet could be operated (along with the typhoon) together with German...

Belgium to retire NH90-TTH from service, replaced by H145M?

in a suprise move, although not officially confirmed yet, the Belgian Military has decided to retire its fleet of 4 NH90-TTH troop transport helicopters. the reason for this is that the number of helicopters are too few to keep operating effectivly. an order would be placed for about 10 to 15 Airbus...
