Die zag ik ook niet aankomen inderdaad. Je kon hem "overal en nergens" tegenkomen, maar hij was altijd in voor een praatje of een goed gesprek. Sterkte voor familie, vrienden en bekenden. Blue skies indeed, Arjen!

According to Dutch Military Register expert. Coen van den Heuvel, no gliders were ever military-registered in the Netherlands. The clue here is to be found in

They were civil-registered gliders in Surinam.

Even voor de goede orde: de show op Hechtel is NIET van/door de Belgische Defensie, maar een commerciele prive-activiteit. In principe (los van corona) houden de Belgen 1x per 2 jaar de Belgian Air Force Days.

That is because especially FR24 censors itself and refrains from displaying most (but not all) mil/gov aircraft.

It's not that I would like to add to the discussion, but I think the perspective here is somewhat missing. AFAIK, the exercise was mounted by and on behalf of the Luchtmobiele Brigade (Air Mobile Brigade). So it's THEIR scenario's that are leading for the exercise. The helicopters play a (big) part ...

Currently, 2+2 fighters (plus 1 a bit later) overhead Amsterdam area eastbound. Looked like Eagles. Anyone?

Minor correction: while september 9&10 are the Belgian Airforce Days 2023 as stated on the website, the spottersday mentioned for the 10th of september on the website is for 2022.
