Thanks a lot for those posts. Great sound and pictures.
I whish I had more free time to travel when such events take place.

Re: US Ambassador visits Kecskemét AFB, Hungary (photo heavy

Kecskemét AFB being less then 100 kms away from downtown Budapest and with a direct highway, one may wonder why go from Budapest (airport) to Kecskemét AFB by plane...

This C-12C was present at the airshow held there two years ago by the way.

Re: Kishinev airport, Rep. of Moldova 15-04-15 (Civ -Governm

I didn't manage to put the wrecks or unflyable birds pictures in the appropriate subject, so decided to post them also here.
Most of them Tu-134.

Kishinev airport, Rep. of Moldova 15-04-15 (Civ -Government)

Waiting for departure from Moldova yesterday, I had the opportunity to catch a few interesting old style, soviet era transports. Currently, there is a temporary free cars parking very well located to make pictures of the here-under AN-24's, an AN-12 (wrecked) and the IL-18d (this ones looks pretty n...

Warsaw, Frederic Chopin airport, Mil and civ (April 14th)

While on a transfer at Warsaw, I had the opportunity to catch somme interesting planes. Also very nice there is the fact that the military part is located next to the civilian site, with direct vieuw from the passengers terminal. So I noticed : - One Polish gov Emraer (170 ?) (which sadly replaced t...

Balti airfield, Rep of Moldova

Returning from a short trip and going through Balti (second biggest city in the Republic of Moldova), I found this airfield, just on the north east of the city, along the main road (there is also there a small airport with concrete runway and a few buildings, but no planes around. Following local pe...

Royal Australian AF F-35 actually.
NZ didn't buy any F-35 (and has no more fighter jets since the loss of the A-4s fleet).

Re: ETAD 23-03-2015

Thank you very much Coert ! It looks very precise to me now. I'll go for sure one of these days. I even plan to stay overnight and spend two days at SP testing my new camera once weather forecast and my free time will both allow. A-10 + CF-188 + the usual transports and F-16 altogether is an opportu...

Re: ETAD 23-03-2015

Hard to say Fred, as they change a lot. Last Monday the plan was to fly 3 missions (morning, afternoon, evening), but cancelled morning. Keep in mind that the A-10 missions are very long most of the times (around 2 hours!). F-16s go quite a lot to the tankers these days. CAF hornets if they fly, on...

Re: ETAD 23-03-2015

Hi gyus ! I plan to go to Spangdahlem one of these days to try to see the A-10. I have the feeling, by reading your reports that they fly mostly during the afternoon and even on the evening. As I live quite far from "SP" and want to have as much chances as possible on my side, can you confirm this o...

Re: Shooting Exercise A-10 Thunderbolt II at Nordhorn Range

Super !
Thanks for this !
It feels like being 25 years younger at Alconbury and Woodbridge, even though the colour on those birds changed.
