Araxos, Greece, Farewell Corsair Spotter's Day

A good one organised by the Greeks! Many Corsairs to be seen, three out of some seven still airworthy flew. Apart from the SLUFs, some other things could be seen as well. Tomorrow back for some more. http://cavok-aviation-photos.net/scramble/300_9435_1200.jpg http://cavok-aviation-photos.net/scrambl...

Must have been a C-130 judgeing by the sound. Heard it overfly my office but couldn't see anything due to the fog..

Nice video. Looks like a DJI Spreading Wings drone.
What was your role in this?

Eindhoven, 20 September 2014

Despite thick fog, the platform next to parking garage P4 could not be seen at times from P4's roof, the planned paradrop to commemorate Operation market Garden did go ahead later that day albeit in a reduced format. It did take some Photoshopping to make the shots presentable. http://cavok-aviation...

Re: BAF Open Days 12-14 September'14 Off topic

Sorry to see that some of you had such. a disappointing time. My visit during three days has been succesful. The only small gripe was the toilet rip off. The sunday crew had no interest in my three day wristband of Eur 4.50 and tried to have me pay again. I of course declined :-)

Not for me, too far away....
What do you mean far away? Konya can be reached directly from Amsterdam if you plan it well.

That is one big fat missile (or bomb?) under the wing of Phantom 77-0308. What is it?

Thanks! :-)
That is a Rafael Popeye air-to-surface missile with TV guidance, known in the US as AGM-142 Have Nap.

Exercise Anatolian Eagle came to a conclusion today. Some images from the departure of the participants and a shot from yesterday's Turkish Stars display, especially for us! A big thank you to the Turkish Air Force. http://cavok-aviation-photos.net/scramble/f16c_900011.jpg http://cavok-aviation-phot...

Sensor cleaned (as far as I could see on that 11 inch screen) and shot replaced. :D

Cheers,
