De 747's worden al meer dan 5 jaar niet meer omgebouwd.

Reminder: MP bouwt dit jaar voor het eerst geen convertibles meer om. Sterker nog, de resterende CF's worden permanent gestript van hun passage-systemen tbv gewichtsbesparing.

Morgenmiddag (vr) wordt MCM omgebouwd naar 2K.

MCR staat in de schuur voor onderhoud (FADEC).

IIRC Girjet has actually aquired 2 of MP's 742's. Training for the Spanish crews is provided by MP.

Dat ligt er maar aan hoe lang ze nog in de vloot blijven. MP spuit z'n vliegtuigen nooit voor de lol over, maar alleen wanneer strikt noodzakelijk. In de praktijk zo eens in de vijf jaar. Voor het nieuwe verfje moet je inderdaad bij de Lacsa-bus zijn.

MP BCF update:

PH-MPP november 2006
PH-MPQ februari 2007
PH-MPR oktober 2007
PH-MPS februari 2008

Itt tot de lijst heeft MP geen A320 in bestelling. Wel is het mogelijk dat er per zomer '07 eentje bijkomt ter gedeeltelijke compensatie voor het niet meer ombouwen van de convertibles.

My apologies, Kiwi is correct. MP's 744BSF's will be converted in China on a Boeing subcontract. Aircraft modified by Bedek's competing design will be called 744SF's.

Correction on the Martinair 744's: The modification is done in Israël by Bedek, which officially classifies the airplane as a 747-400SF, not 747-400BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter). Bedek and Boeing are competitors on this program.

Martinair: forget it. Just the 744SF to replace the classics on a one-for-one basis. The shareholders won't allow anything more.
