Re: Zagreb Pleso 2015 MIL

Hi Elvin,

AFAIK they only have (had) two An-32s, 727 and 707.
See you Saturday I guess?

Grappig ja, ik zie hem ook niet. Wel die USAF-bakken, en volgens mij is die ene afwijkende van Qatar ipv de UK.

Re: Split area, Croatia, 2015

Nice catch indeed! More Croatian Hips have been seen without the H- prefix recently, seems like a change in serial system.

Re: SU-30MKI vs Typhoon: 12-0

You can bet your bottom dollar the classified RAF tactics for dealing with SU-30s on a wartime basis were not even hinted at during the entire exercise. In the real world the SU-30s would have probably been splashed very quickly. False sense of security and all that............ That MIGHT be true, ...

Re: W&R Germany

The Mi-2 indeed seems to be 94+80. As already said in your other topic, that used to be preserved in Neugersdorf as "HE-IDI", but the c/s looks very much the same only bleached by sun.

Re: 72(!) Mig21/Mig23s verlaten in hooguit 5 minuten de basi

Geweldige beelden!

LOG W&R The Netherlands (Arnhem and vintage gliders) 2-8-15

Hi all, A nice sunny Sunday and the Vintage Glider Club Rally being held in The Netherlands, a nice combination :-) No early start necessary for a change, and no hours of driving needed. However also in our own country there still are a few W&R we still need, so a little detour was made. Arnhems Oor...

Re: W&R spotting in Germany

As said your Mi-2 cockpit is a purpose built instructional. Hopefully I will be able to check the c/n of the other one next month, but I am interested in your picture indeed!

Gnat crashed in UK, today 1-8

Hi all,

Sad news as one of the well known Gnats from the Heritage Aircraft Trust (from North Weald) crashed while preparing for or actually doing a display at Oulton Park. The pilot was killed.

OK, thanks. Can you coinfirm the c/n of the Stearman? Do you have a readable picture by any chance?

Too bad the c/n can't be checked. Where is it parked then?
By the way, your Mi-2 here is said to be a purpose built instructional.

On the 11th I have FAC5071 as well!
Antilliaan has FAC5072 on the 12th, but I don't have that in my logbook. Possibly arrived after we left for Bogota.

Re: Baarlo & Kessel (collection)

Seems like you missed a shed? There is one with amongst others a Swiss Mirage III and a British Wasp. Unless both have been sold, but that sounds unlikely to me?

Re: W&R spotting in Germany

Hi, the aircraft at Neubrandenburg moved from their spot in front of the tower to a platform near it. Last year they could just be seen by walking further from the civil terminal. Don't know wether they are still there, at least MiG23 554 moved to Berlin since. Regarding Rechlin, that Mi-2 is a new ...
