The destroyed helicopter was an AH-64 Apache, seen on footage of tail parts near one of the walls of the compound.

The French armed forces said around 20 French aircraft supported by an AWACS surveillance plane struck targets during the day on Saturday, including five Galeb fighter jets and two MI-35 helicopters on the ground outside Misurata.

There's more ways to transport missiles to southern Italy....
it makes you wonder why they put them on the aircraft in the first place, as this is just for the transfer flight. Probably it does not save a lot of fuel if you don't carry them.

AFP reports that the United Arab Emirates will be contributing 24 fighter jets (Mirage 2000-9s and F-16s) and Qatar will contribute between four and six Mirage 2000-5s, citing a French official.

Belgium takes part in the international military action. From Monday F-16s and a mine sweeper are available, according to PM Leterme.
Six F-16s are said to be currently in Greece, but it is not known how many of these will be made available.
