There's more ways to transport missiles to southern Italy....
it makes you wonder why they put them on the aircraft in the first place, as this is just for the transfer flight. Probably it does not save a lot of fuel if you don't carry them.

AFP reports that the United Arab Emirates will be contributing 24 fighter jets (Mirage 2000-9s and F-16s) and Qatar will contribute between four and six Mirage 2000-5s, citing a French official.

Belgium takes part in the international military action. From Monday F-16s and a mine sweeper are available, according to PM Leterme.
Six F-16s are said to be currently in Greece, but it is not known how many of these will be made available.

Six Danish F-16 fighter jets have landed at the US naval air station in Sigonella, Sicily, Lars Skjoldan, a Danish air force spokesman, says.
Norway will also be contributing six F-16's to an international military effort in Libya, in line with UN resolution 1973.
