Great shots and great memories, all of you :respect: . After a visit to Grosseto and Grazzanise in March 2004, I stayed in contact with several of 9th Stormo's pilots. During my holiday at Sardinia in May 2004, this resulted in another friendly Italian officer getting me access to Decimomannu, where...

The regular F-16 took some time to grow on me, but this to me is hideous. The tanks on the fuselage, the dorsal spine, the oversized pylontanks, the bumps on the nose (which unfortunately our MLUs have as well)... Yikes! I'm not one for body-building or steroids either. Anyway, "Smaken verschillen"....

Once you've shot air-to-air out of a Skyvan, you learn to love it :respect: . According to the IFS-website, the F-104 is F-104A (c/n 1134), 56-846, "4254".

Sweet memories! My dad was line-chief of Volkel's 1st Fighter Wing in 1994 during Deny Flight and I shot many of those "FUR" wfu Starfighters when I visited Villafranca in May that year.
