Nice shots including the 1st C390, any idea when is this going to be accepted by Portugese AF?
Your weather is off, typically un-portugese ;-)

NH90s being phased out

A40-025 is the MRH-90 helicopter involved in the incident (22MAR2) . Articles mention "Netherlands, Germany and Sweden are beginning to phase out their MRH-90 fleets in favour of American helicopters" which is not correct. It is Norway who has axed their 14 unit NH90 fleet, while Sweden intends to s...

ETNG return of LX-N90447

On December 8 2021 '447' left for Manching as 'NATO10'. While Leonardo has been awarded the FLEP (final LEP) upgrade to be performed in Italy, regular depot maintenance work and some upgrades are being done in Manching. While upgrades and re-fits usually take a very long time, could anyone confirm t...

Re: Cobra Warrior - RAF Waddington

We had the famous four seasons in one day as well. That is why we ventured out three days and shuttling between Waddington and Coningsby for all the participants. Very nice set of 02 end. One remark on 'latter days of service' I think the Indian AF are putting their M2000 fleet through upgrades and ...

Re: Combat Dragon OV-10G+ Broncos

Still going strong! We saw 155481 working the Fallon ranges in March 2015, just before deploying to Iraq on SOC duties. Looks like they were with NASA before and after that. Always nice to see a CalFire report. We visited them also in '15, with winter time just about right for access.

Re: Dutch F-16s delivery to Bulgarian AF imminent

OK
004/010 (AM) and 067/210 (BM) are at Charleroi
018 (AM) and 064 (BM) have been at Lajes since mid-December
019/366 (AM) and 209/368/369/882 were at Lakeland, 5 of these en-route to Lajes 21JAN
So 1 of these last 6 numbers is grande-kaputt at Lakeland?
(12 - 4 = 8 ) :D

Thanks for the heads-up Piet. Looks like RCH83 flew McDill-Bangor and landed just now, not dragging anything over.

It was also a tool to attract new staff, but not so anymore Why is that? AFAIK there is still a huge shortage of personnel. Very much so unfortunately Patrick, but they have seen the luchtmachtdagen does not attract new staff anymore. They are exploring other channels, but with the general shortage...

Re: 2022 : RNLAF Open Days / Open Dagen Luchtmacht ?

For 2023 only 'Marinedagen' in July. Discussion still going on within RNLAF whether 'luchtmachtdagen' will come back as before since organizing it puts too much strain on air base personnel and a lot of civil works are going on at Leeuwarden, Volkel, etc. in the coming years. It was also a tool to a...

Re: Dutch F-16s delivery to Bulgarian AF imminent

Thanks for picking this up Piet. Reading the NOTAM... A) is Santa Maria FIR, could you guide me through the B) and C) timings, is this the reservation for their FIR only and therefore approx arrival time Lajes is between those times? Since 1458z to 1907z is too short a timeframe to fly from Lakeland...
