Today I spend some time along the airbase of Tainan, Taiwan, to take some photos of the rehearsals for the upcoming airshow this Saturday. Nice :D But it will be officially revealed on 1 July, yet it's visible already? Correct. The official unveil will be on Monday 1st July at 14:30 hours. The unveil will be done by General Schnitger and Mayor of Soest Mik. During the unveil there will also be a flypast of a Spitfire and a Fokker S.11.

This week the new monument on the roundabout on the N237 is placed to commemorate the aviation history of Soesterberg. They made a nice stainless steel replica of a Farman look-a-like. I spend a very enjoyable day at Volkel. Nice weather and an impressive line-up of aircraft. Also no problems at all with traffic with just 30mins delay in gettin on and of the parking area. Can somebody tells me if the old "spottershill" near Soesterberg is still accessible?? I hope i can stay on this hill to make pictures of this fly-by. You can also stand on the airbase itself as it is open for bicycles. Enter at the old spottersplace (Batenburgweg) or at the van Weerden Poelmanweg....

hmm, I wonder where the RA-89011 was painted then, which was present at the China Airshow at Zhuhai in November.

The last day of the trip we visited Iruma Airshow, in downtown Tokyo. This very crowded airshow showed a nice static and flying display.
